From there, the trainer controls the entire session from their phone. The athletes just look at the screen.

How It Works, In Four Steps

1. Scan the TV

Open any browser on your gym TV. A unique QR code appears immediately. Scan it with your phone. Done; your phone is now the remote.

2. Configure Your Session

Choose your format, level, duration, and group setup. Solo athlete training alone? Group of 5 pairs doing station rotation? HYROX simulation for 4 people? Set it in seconds.

3. Generate, Then Make It Yours

One tap generates a complete workout. But here’s the thing: the generator is a starting point, not a straitjacket.

Every exercise can be swapped. Every weight can be adjusted. You can add exercises, remove stations, change the order. The generator handles the structure, you handle the expertise. Trainers who’ve used HyGRID describe it as "having a solid first draft ready before you even walk in."

4. Start and Coach

Hit start. The TV takes over; timers count down, stations update, rotations happen automatically. Athlete names appear per station. The whole class knows where to be and what to do.

Built for How HYROX Training Actually Works

Most display tools are built for one screen showing one thing to one group. That works for yoga. It doesn’t work for HYROX.

HYROX group training looks like this: five groups of two athletes, each group at a different station, all working simultaneously on different exercises, rotating every few minutes. Try displaying that on a standard gym display tool. You’ll end up with five tablets, five timers, and a lot of confusion.

HyGRID was designed for exactly this scenario.

Station Rotation: the TV shows all groups simultaneously in columns. Group Alpha is doing Ski Erg + Wall Balls. Group Bravo is doing Sled Push + Box Jumps. Group Charlie is doing Row Erg + Slam Balls. Everyone sees their station, their exercises, their weights. Timer runs, everyone rotates together.

Leader & AMRAP: one person per group runs or rows while the others do AMRAP strength work. When the leader finishes, everyone stops and rotates. The TV tracks who’s leading and who’s working.

EMOM & E2MOM: every minute (or every two minutes) a new exercise starts. The TV counts down, shows the current exercise, and automatically advances. Athletes know exactly when to start and when to rest.

Tabata: the classic 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off protocol, fully automated. The TV flashes green for work, dims for rest. 8 rounds per block, rest between blocks, next exercise loaded automatically. No trainer involvement needed once it starts.

AMRAP Circuits: a shared exercise circuit, everyone works at their own pace, timer counts down the full session. Clean and simple.

Ladders: descending distances or reps. Ski Erg 1km then Sandbag Lunges 40m, then 800m & 30m, then 600m & 20m. The classic HYROX format made easy to run.

HYROX Strict Mode: Race Preparation Done Right

This is where HyGRID goes beyond anything else on the market.

HYROX Strict Mode simulates the actual race format with official exercise order, official distances, and official division weights: Men’s Open, Men’s Pro, Women’s Open, Women’s Pro.

The HyGRID generator has a library of 100+ exercises, each with scaling for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. It knows which exercises work well together, which equipment combinations make sense, and how to balance cardio and strength across a session.

Every generated workout is fully editable before you start. Swap exercises if the ski erg is occupied. Adjust weights if the group is having a tough day. Add an extra station if you have more athletes than expected. Remove an exercise if someone has a shoulder injury.

The remote for the trainer is a PWA (Progressive Web App): it opens in the browser like any other website, and if you want it to feel more like a native app you can add it to your home screen in one tap. That’s optional. It works just as well without.
